Mauve, violet, lilac, plum. This season, the fashion colour chart is exploding with colours and one of our favourites is purple in all its shades.
We know, purple can be a bit intimidating to wear; it has a certain royal touch to it, mysterious and seductive. On the other hand, it’s a great break away from your ordinary boring colours. We love this hue for its versatility and the fact that you can wear it all year round.
So, how do you combine purple with other colours for that stylish look? While the traditional, yet bold colour combination purple and red is funky and vibrant, it feels so last season. Instead, opt to pair it with lighter shades of yellow, subtle soybean or a stronger brown granite for an updated fresh look.
Metallic such as gold together with deep purple is a great combo, especially for a cocktail party or when hitting the night club. For a more casual look during office hours, a softer purple looks great paired with neutral tones, nude or a dusty pink. The purple palette is also a perfect match with tanned leather products such as leather belts, a stylish handbag and our case Uuma.
If wearing a purple outfit feels too daunting, just add a touch of it with purple accessories like our frames Tärendö Purple reed, Tärendö Denim blue beaver, and Skaulo Heather by the mountain lake. But don’t be afraid to go monochrome and wear the same colour or shades of it from head to toe – finishing off with a statement designer frame. 2019 it’s all about more is more.
