STILL

STILL – A Scandinavian Handmade Tea Collection Inspired by Northern Sweden

Teapot and mug.

STILL is the result of a design collaboration with designer AnnKathrin Lundqvist, Akenberg and ceramicists Adrian Rodriguez and Eva Fjällström. The collection was created to capture the quiet beauty of the winter landscape in Norrbotten, Northern Sweden — expressed through calm, restrained forms and tactile surfaces that invite a mindful tea ritual.

The collection features custom-developed glazes based on birch ash, local clay and sand from the Lule River. These materials create a soft, restrained palette with subtle variations that shift with the light.

All pieces are wheel-thrown and finished by hand in our workshop in Luleå, and are made especially for you when ordered.

The collection includes two teapot models, two mug models, a matcha bowl, a whisk holder and two tea canisters. Soon, it will also be possible to order pieces from the collection online.

Holding one of these fully handmade vessels, you will feel the contrast of smooth, refined surfaces against the subtle texture of raw clay and fine grains of sand—an experience that mirrors the arctic climate itself: rough yet elegant, harsh yet profoundly grounding. The shapes are deliberately reduced to their essential form, capturing a quiet strength and enduring simplicity.

In a time marked by uncertainty and urgency, this collection invites a necessary moment of stillness – an everyday pause shaped by material, gesture and moment. Inspired by the ritual of making and sharing tea, it encourages us to slow down, be present, and intentionally reconnect—with ourselves, with one another, and with nature.
